On my way to the Baha'i Gardens, I fall upon an art museum featuring an exhibition of the Jewish Avant Garde. The exhibition draws parallels between the art practices of Israeli artists and that of European artists during the early 1920s.
Works by outstanding figures include Amedeo Modigliani, Jacques Lipschitz, Natan Altman, Issachar Ryback, Sionah Taggar, Menahem Shemi, Reuven Rubin and others. Parallels can be seen between works created in Moscow, Vilna, Lodz, Berlin and Paris and in Israel.
