11) Dalton Winery for wine tasting and lunch

Anat presents us with 6 different wines to taste.
The French and the Israelis detest one another's wines. The Israelis think the French wines are too sour; the French think Israeli wines are too sweet.

What makes a wine kosher? Only Jewish men who are shomrei Shabbath can touch any aspect of the process. On the other hand most of the winemakers are women.

Anat tells me that she doesn't read a wine so much by her nose or palate as much as by touching the bottle. She can tell everything about the wine by holding the bottle! Anat laughs that it's like channelling.

A Dionyssian diversion in a Kabbalistic purification pilgrimage.
